Omg! I can't believe that your email address is talking toilet!!! My phobia as a child was of toilets! I could not flush them with out having panic attacks! I would do all that I had to do in the bathroom, open the door, flush and RUN!!! I had this fear until I was 19. I still am not crazy about toilets that I "do not know" but can handle remaining in the room as they are flushed! I am also quite squeamish about any kind of plumbing fixtures...pipe work in basements, drain holes, sewage drains...makes my skin crawl!!! I had another bathroom related fear when I was a child, but I am not going to describe it here! There is a real term for it. It is Defecaloesiophobia. I'll leave you to look that up!!! Now that I am for the most part over those two fears, they have been replaced by another....Emetophobia. I have managed to keep from throwing up since 1985!!!! And have no plans to do so ever again!!!! (You asked!!)
Fear of being sucked down the toilet (the louder they flush the worse it is)
I hate toilets full stop. I fear being sucked down one (as someone said, the louder they flush the worse it is), I fear a toilet overflowing and I especially fear toilets with a high-level cistern or wall-hung toilets as it has been called. It's great to know I'm not the only one! I have a name, a friend of mine used to be a student of Ancient Greek and came up with Afodronaphobia. Afodrone being the Greek word for toilet. Not sure about the spelling.
I have a fear of old fasioned square based toilets! doesnt matter if they are high or low cysterns but if the bowl is big I will not use it ! Any ideas on a name for this phobia?
hi! My phobia is very embarassing, but i have a really weird fear of those toilets where the water comes up really high. But i would also really like to know why i have this phobia because i`ve had it all my life.
black toilets (I cant use them)
Fear of leaving the bathroom while the toilet's flushing-this is similar to some other ones i read. I can stay in the bathroom and flush the toilet but I have to watch it while it flushes. I'm not scared of anything coming out of it or the contents splashing up on me or anything but I freak out if I'm leaving the bathroom if the toilets flushing. If I'm in a hurry I have to run from the bathroom and into a big room or downstairs if I'm using the upstairs bathroom.
