Have you ever heard of a fear of shrinking? Every now and then I will be in a dream in which I am subjected to a shrink ray or magical shrinking spell and start to get smaller (ie., my surroundings appear to grow), and I generally wake up immediately in a cold sweat, heart pounding. [To answer your question, yes, when I was young I watched a lot of crummy 50s-style sci-fi and horror movies. Check out "Phantom Planet" sometime.] Is there a name for this? Odd point: In the X-rated version of "Alice in Wonderland", the title character returns to the real world and becomes a best-selling author. The title of her book? "Fear of Shrinking".
