I was going to submit my fear of clowns, but after a bit of research, seems that one's pretty common :) So my other fear is a fear of deep lakes. Or bodies of natural water, I suppose. When I was young we went fishing in a local pond that you couldn't see the bottom of, and we had salamanders for bait. We caught perch and stuff using corn, but the salamanders were for the "big fish." Every time we lowered a salamander, it'd come back up with only the head left on the hook. We never did figure out what was eating the salamanders, but I was fairly well convinced that whatever it was was probably big enough to eat toes or fingers or small children. So if I can't see the bottom of a lake, I won't go in. I don't know what lives in there, and if I can't see it, it might attack/eat me. Last thing I want is to be lunch for some freaky 10 foot carnivorous fish. As for a name, maybe benthophobia? (from the Greek word for "deep")
