I also have problems with going into a restroom that has a shower with the curtain closed. I have to open before I can do anything.
fewwww!!! what a relief I thought I was the only one scared of opened [or closed] shower curtains. I have had this fear for as long as I can remember. I am particularly scared of dark colored ones (like black). I wont go near a bathroom with a shower curtain in it. My family thinks I'm weird, lol. Also have some other fears such as black toilets (I cant use them), bathrooms with black tiles, parachutes, open umbrellas (especially big, black ones) and least but not least the strangest of all (I think)- butterflies, but only big ones especially if they are (you guessed it, black).
i have a phobia of someone looking at me all the time even when no ones there. i also have to check the shower curtain before i use the restroom. i always have to have doors closed because im scared of doors being opened and my windows covered with thick curtains and at night the lights have to be off.
I also have a fear of entering a bathroom that has closed shower curtains! I am so paranoid about them that I think there is someone (or something) hiding inside them. It may sound completely crazy but it's true! Seeing tv programs that have people opening shower curtains and finding dead bodies inside the bathtub hasn't helped one bit either... Like the other person, I cannot do anything without opening the curtain first. I'm not afraid of the curtains themselves, just that there may be something behind them.
I always have to open the shower curtain in a bathroom, or check in closets, etc. because someone could be there waiting to kill me.
I have this really weird thing where if I walk in a bathroom and the shower curtain is closed. I always have to open it before I pee...its really weird and I've been trying to think of a word for it but I don't know the Latin word for shower curtain. Also, I have a fear of mayonnaise. I've been trying to figure out why or what its called but I don't know the Latin word for that one either. I think the shower curtain thing might have something to do with my fear of being alone.
oh, and my sister also has this horrible fear of shower curtains too. when their shut she has to get someone to go and open it for her. she says she's afraid there will be someone hiding in their waiting or a corpse in their that will rise up and start singing to her and then try to choke her. anyone that has seen the remake of the shining will understand that. is it odd that every time we go to a hotel she has to check under the bed for corpses and behind the doors and mirrors for cameras. i worry about her sometimes...
I am uneasy if I am in a bathroom with closed shower curtains. Like there is somehting behinde them.
Fear of entering a bathroom with closed shower curtains-I have this fear too. if I enter a bathroom with the shower curtains closed, I freeze and my heart starts pounding. I have to tear open the curtain and make sure it's at a certain side of the shower so that I can see inside of the shower from all angles. I think I'm sort of scared that someone's hiding behind the curtain because I've seen too many movies or something. I can shower with the curtains closed but I have to keep looking around to make sure there's nothing in there with me.
